Dr Rowan Williams, Lord Williams of Oystermouth, Master of Magdalene College Cambridge, was formerly Bishop of Monmouth, Archbishop of Wales, and from 2002 to 2012 Archbishop of Canterbury. He is one of Britain’s foremost theologians, having held chairs of divinity in both Oxford and Cambridge. He has written prolifically on topics in theology, ethics, and religious practice, and is known internationally as an outstanding scholar and teacher. He is also an established poet and author of works of literary criticism.
